It may be wiser to work for a woman. The 2002 Guam Economic Census indicated that out of 2 926 Guam businesses 228 — or 7% — are women-owned.

When comparing company sales to company payroll women-owned businesses devote a higher percentage to their employees — 25.3%. The non-women-owned (presumably men-owned) businesses come in at 18.2%.

For a closer look at the figures behind the statistics of women-owned businesses see the chart for a breakdown of businesses by sector and ownership.
