GUALO RAI Saipan — A businessman and hotel owner who also is the running mate of the CNMI Democratic Party’s standardbearer for this year’s gubernatorial race suffered a massive stroke on May 18.

Vicente C. “Ben” Camacho who owns and operates Summer Holiday Hotel in Kristo Rai remained on May 25 at the intensive care unit of the Commonwealth Health Center where he was rushed. Camacho was reportedly on life support. Reliable sources said his family is making arrangements to have him flown to Hawaii.

Camacho a former chairman of the CNMI Retirement Fund board turned 50 on Dec. 14. He is former Gov. Froilan C. Tenorio’s running mate in the November 2005 gubernatorial race. MBJ
