My personal community effort was when my husband and I decided to recognize 12 high school wrestlers by purchasing medals of accomplishment and awarding it to them at a celebration we put together on the beach. It was very rewarding. My career-related accomplishments include motivating other cosmetologists not to give up on their field and educating them on a regular basis. I also provide assistance to individuals who have a dream to start a business but need direction. I coach them on steps they need to take help write their business plans and show them where to go and what to do."

"The opening of the Guam Marianas Training Center Health and Allied School in 2004. GMTC is the first and only private institution given authority by the Guam Board of Nurse Examiners to open the Nursing Assistant Program under Public Law 24-20. I have filled the need for the students who want to be on the health and allied field and the community’s need for this kind of expertise and services. Guam Marianas Training Center has successfully graduated and nationally certified students in phlebotomy and pharmacy tech fields. There are other various health and allied courses that GMTC offers. We continue to develop additional courses to offer in the near future. Our students on Guam now join the ranks of their U.S. counterparts and are part of the national database in the Job Referral Program under the National Health Career Association the benchmark in the health and allied field."
