The 436-room Guam Marriott Resort & Spa was sold to a subsidiary of UFB Group while retaining a long-term management contract for the property according to a May 23 release. The Marriott will be undergoing a refurbishment program which should be completed within a year.
UFB also owns the Courtyard by Marriott Surfers Paradise; the Courtyard by Marriott Parramatta and the Courtyard by Marriott North Ryde all in Australia. The company is also constructing at the Momi Fiji Gold Resort & Spa in Momi Bay Fiji which is scheculed to open early 2007. MBJ
