Beginning Jan. 8 Pay-less supermarket goers will start noticing construction take place at the HagÅtÃ±a location in the Agana Shopping Center.
According to Michael R. Benito general manager of Payless Supermarkets Inc.; remodeling to the HagÅtÃ±a location will commence on Jan. 8 but doors will remain open to customers until Feb. 16. Following Feb. 16 Payless HagÅtÃ±a will be closed for three weeks to accommodate the major renovations.
"We plan to open back up between March 8 and March 12 " Benito said. He said the Payless Sinajana location would open 24 hours during the Payless HagÅtÃ±a closure to accommodate customers.
Benito said the new store would have 30% more refrigeration space. He told the Journal there will be a larger produce section more natural and organic selections a much larger meat department and a full-service seafood counter.
Benito said there will be all new equipment to include new registers new check stands a new service counter and flooring. The renovation will help to pick up 800 additional square feet of space he said.
