On Dec. 15 South Pacific Petroleum Corp. donated $500 to Chief Brodie Memorial School for Santa’s Entourage.

South Pacific Petroleum Corp. donated bags of ice and various cases of drinks to the Dededo Mayor’s office for the Dededo Fiesta on Dec. 19.

On Nov. 25 South Pacific Petroleum Corp. and Thunder Road Motorcycle Club adopted the Great Seal of Guam Park in Hagåtña. The park was previously adopted and maintained by the Guam Army National Guard.

On Jan. 1 Archway Inc. donated a gift package worth more than $2 500 to the family of Celsie Duenas Concepcion the first New Year baby born on Guam. In addition to a $1 000 U.S. savings bond from Archway other gifts included coupons from King’s Restaurants Tony Roma’s Capricciosa Sam Choy’s and Planet Hollywood; two prepaid phones from iConnect; movie passes for a year from Tango Theatres; auto detailing from Atkins Kroll; and massage treatments from Mandara Spa. Additional sponsors include Pacific Rim Brokers G4S Security Services Macy’s Guam the Sand Castle; and DFS Galleria.

On Dec. 21 the Antonio B. Won Pat Guam International Airport presented donations of fruits bath soap hand towels toilet paper paper towels mouthwash toothpaste lotion Kleenex and other toiletries to St. Dominic’s Senior Home Care. The airport committed to continue to contribute needed items to the residents of St. Dominic’s on a quarterly basis.

Through the 2007 Education Exchange College Grant Program Bank of Guam will be offering a total of $50 000 in grants in 2007. Students have the opportunity to apply for grants up to $5 000. Under the program a total of four $5 000 grants and 30 $1 000 grants will be awarded in 2007. This is the fourth consecutive year Bank of Guam has offered the grants. Students must mail their completed applications and supporting documents directly to the ACCEL/Exchange Network in New Jersey. The deadline is March 15.

On Jan. 5 Project Health Volunteer Inc. presented the Belau National Hospital with toys that will go to the pediatric ward.

A free eye clinic was held from Jan. 8 to 11 at the Palau Community College cafeteria. At the eye clinic free eyeglasses donated by the Lion’s Club in California were also passed out.

On Dec. 13 the Guam Police Department donated 30 handguns and 60 9millimeter magazines 30 holsters medical stretchers and navigational boards to Palau’s Bureau of Public Safety.

On Jan. 12 Guam Customs and Quarantine presented a check for $3 000 to the Ayuda Foundation for the Supertyphoon Durian Relief Effort in the Philippines. The money was raised at a street fund drive coordinated by customs officers and from employee contributions.

The Aqua Resort Club in Saipan will be donating 10% of its dine-in sales of the Aqua Resort Club’s Costa Terrace Restaurant to the environmental campaign group Beautify CNMI.

On Jan. 17 Japan Airlines Co. Ltd. made its annual donation of $1 000 to St. Dominic’s Senior Care Home. The donation came from the proceeds of the Annual JAL Golf Tournament which was held Nov. 30 at the Onward Golf Resort Guam.
