HAGATNA Guamm ”” The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Marianas awarded a $30 million contract for painting construction activities for government shore-based facilities on Guam to a company in Anaheim Calif. according to the Department of Defense’s June 22 release on contract awards.
LM2 Construction Co. Inc. was awarded the $30 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for work such as surface preparation on previously painted and unpainted buildings application of new paint taping and spackling work replacement of caulking and puttying repair of concrete cracks and spalls cutting and trimming of trees and shrubs and incidental related work.
The contract for work on Guam runs through June of 2014 with contract funds of $25 000 expiring at the end of the 2011 fiscal year. A total of eight proposals were recieved via competitive procurement through the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website. – See full story in the July 4 issue of the Journal.
