Effective tonight – May 22 at 11.59 p.m. NTT Docomo parent company of Docomo Pacific will be acquiring Marianas CableVision of Guam to the tune of $129.8 million.
Jay Shedd president and CEO of Docomo Pacific Inc. has assured that there will be no job losses during the integration of the two companies. The two exceptions are MCV CEO Craig Thompson who is retiring and chief financial officer David Wisher who will be released due to a redundancy in position. Thompson said Wisher was aware of the impending acquisition before accepting his position as CFO and Shedd added that Thompson and Wisher will both be kept on as consultants in the interim to help with the integration process. – For further details on the acquisition see the Marianas Business Journal June 3 edition.
