MANGILAO Guam – Guam is hosting travelers from the Federated States of Micronesia the Marshall Islands and Palau for a four-day workshop that will provide 12 members of the public and private sector with skills in marketing (including online) quality assurance and business development as part of the Strengthening Pacific Economic Integration program funded under the 10th European Development Fund of the European Union. These “Train the Trainer”” modules are being conducted at the University of Guam from Aug. 12 to 15 and are provided through a partnership between the South Pacific Tourism Organization implementers of the Pacific Regional Tourism Capacity Building Program project will partner with the Secretariat of the Pacific Communities and their Increasing Agriculture Commodity Trade project as well as the University of Guam’s Pacific Islands Small Business Development Center Network. The workshop will enhance participants’ skills in assisting clients and the general small business communities who are or have an interest in the tourism and export business.
