A recently-opened grocery store will add to retail offerings in the Dededo area.

Paradise Market will service the development as well as other homes in the area servicing a total of about 800 homes in the area.

According to Kimberly Peter general manager the store will offer a wide variety of American-made products but also cater to local tastes.

Paradise Mart features a large produce section of locally grown vegetables from a local vendor as well as general merchandise.

The store is about 2 800 square feet in size and employs five people. The hours of operation are from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Monday to Saturday and from 1p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

The construction of the building was completed on Oct. 2 and a soft opening was held in mid-October. Paradise Market is Peter’s first business venture. Previously Peter was a teacher of first graders. The store is owned by Peter and her siblings who recently formed JKD Inc. which does business as Paradise Market.
