TINIAN, Northern Mariana Islands — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Northern Mariana Islands Municipality of Tinian and the Commonwealth Ports Authority  gave notice on July 8 that an Integrated Feasibility/ Environmental Impact Statement is being prepared for the Proposed Tinian Harbor Modifications Project. The project is authorized under section 209 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1962 and will consider the implementation of navigation improvements at Tinian Harbor.

In order to be considered in the Draft IF/EIS, comments and suggestions are to be received within 30 days after the last public scoping meeting, held late July.
