LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The Guam Waterworks Authority has awarded Black Construction Corp. a $122 million contract for the Upgrade of the Northern Wastewater Treatment Plant in Dededo.

The project scope includes the complete construction of new secondary wastewater treatment facilities at the Northern District Wastewater Treatment Plant, as well as upgrades and repurposing of certain existing infrastructure and facilities at the plant.

Work is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2019, with substantial completion anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2021.

The announcement was made in Los Angeles on June 24 by Tutor Perini Corp., Black Construction’s parent company.
