The Andersen Air Force Base’s 36th Wing, with support from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and Hickam Air Force Base, constructed an Expeditionary Medical Support System in the grounds of U.S. Naval Hospital Guam, according to an April 17 release from Andersen. The EMEDS facility consists of 11 medical units, and six warehouse units, and has been used to “support military efforts to get the crew of the USS Theodore Roosevelt healthy and back out to sea.”
The tent shown in the May 19 photo appears to have air conditioning, making it ideal for a hospitalization facility.
