Docomo Pacific donated $1,000 to the Commonwealth Cancer Association’s golf tournament on June 19 at the Lao Lao Bay Golf Resort, which replaced the Marianas March Against Cancer.

The Tan Siu Lin Foundation donated $2,500 to the Saipan Fishermen’s Association for the 37th Annual Saipan International Fishing Tournament. The foundation and Tan Holdings also donated $1,500 worth of cash prizes to the Mariana Islands Nature Alliance for the Marine Debris Contest, an event open to participants of the fishing tournament.


The Tinian Mayor’s Office, Typhoon Sports Association, and FitBeat Anti-Tobacco Wellness teamed up to renovate Tinian’s Broadway Estates basketball court. The court was previously damaged by Super Typhoon Yutu.


A total of 13 large bags and boxes were donated to Harvest House through the Community First Guam Federal Credit Union Community School Supply Drive. The drive, which collected back-to-school supplies, began on June 30 and ended on July 14. The supplies will help foster children in Guam. A total of 13 large bags and boxes were collected at Community First member service locations.

The Guam Green Growth (G3) Conservation Corps held a roadside cleanup along Marine Corps Drive in Dededo. The organization will hold a cleanup in a different village every week through the five-month program. mbj
