Gerald Lee Kraus

Gerald Lee “Jerry Kraus of Callaghan, Fla., and formerly of Yigo passed away at the age of 77.
Kraus served his country from 1965 to 1990 before retiring as an instructor pilot with the rank of Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Air Force. Kraus received numerous awards during his military career.
As a proud veteran, Kraus remained active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization as a Triple Crown Commander. He was also a Silver Legacy Life Member of Veterans of Foreign Affairs of the United States.
Kraus will also be remembered in Saipan and by longtime visitors to the Northern Mariana Islands as the former owner of the Oleai Beach Bar & Grill beachfront restaurant in Saipan.
Gerald Lee “Jerry” Kraus is survived by his wife Masako, and children Julie Langford, Gerald “Jerry” Lee Kraus Jr., Jason Kraus, and Hiromi Smith. mbj
