The Westin Resort Guam has officially re-opened the Prego restaurant's lunch buffet, offering hotel guests, military service members, tourists, and locals a flavorful Italian-inspired dining experience featuring a selection of freshly prepared dishes, classic favorites, and delectable desserts.
Available Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the lunch buffet offers an inviting midday escape with an array of tempting pastas, fresh-baked aromatic pizzas, distinctive appetizers, and satisfying entrées.
The Italian-style buffet features homemade Italian bread, a Caesar salad station, Prawn Salad Catalana Style, smoked salmon roulade, and an inviting charcuterie board featuring assorted cold cuts and cheeses, complemented by dehydrated and fresh fruits, and crackers. The buffet continues with a selection of hearty Italian-inspired entrées, including Linguini Shrimp Scampi, Chicken and sausage pasta, baked salmon, and Italian Beef Stew.

The Italian Beef Stew was savory and packed with flavor, with the herbs and spices of this dish making you want to go back for more. In the spirit of Halloween, Prego introduces the "Death by Potatoes" mashed potato dish. Creamy, silky, rich and savory all blended into one digestive masterpiece, definitely a must try, the dish stands out among the comforting sides.
Appetizer options include choices between plain romaine lettuce to dress to individual preference and a ready-made Caesar salad, creating an engaging personalized experience.
The Italian Wedding Soup was peppery, flavorful, and featuring tender meatballs, while the seafood linguini, a Journal top pick, featured shrimp and spinach, showcasing how simple flavors blended well together. Every component was well cooked.
For dessert, guests can indulge in selections such as the Mango Basil Panna Cotta, another Journal top pick, where the mango came through very well, basil gives the dessert a fresh aftertaste, and sweetness was perfect. Additional dessert options include classic Tiramisu with a soft texture and chocolate-forward espresso flavor, assorted cannoli with a nutty, subtle sweetness and crispy shell, and walnut-spiced biscotti.
Pricing for the lunch buffet is $35 per adult plus a 10% service charge, and $21 plus a 10% service charge per child ages six through 11. Privilege Club members enjoy a 20% discount, and military guests receive a 10% discount. Discounts cannot be combined with other offers or promotions.
