
Willenda Billimon, social worker at the Guam Regional Medical City, has been nominated for the Social Worker of the Year Award by the National Association of Social Workers Guam Chapter as part of its 2026 Social Work Month honors.
The nomination recognizes individuals whose careers have made a meaningful impact on the field of social work and the communities they serve.
Throughout her tenure, Billimon has focused on healthcare advocacy, cultural understanding, and patient-centered care to support families navigating complex health challenges. In addition to direct patient care, Billimon serves as a professional mentor and role model to colleagues and emerging social work practitioners within the healthcare facility.
"Social work is more than just a profession, it is a commitment to compassion, advocacy, and empowering others through life's challenges," Billimon said. "This recognition inspires me to continue serving our community with resilience, dedication, integrity, and love."
