Ten companies were selected the week of Sept. 25 as Phase II and final participants for the $600 million Small Business Design-Build Multiple Award Construction Contract or MAC contract, according to Journal sources.
They are Agbayani Construction Corp., AIC International Inc., Chugach Consolidated Solutions LLC, Custom Mechanical Systems Corp., InfraTech International LLC, Islands Mechanical Contractor Inc., Pacific Federal Management Inc., Reliable Builders Inc., Sea Pac Engineering Inc. and Techni-Con Inc.
According to the solicitation issued in June 2021 by Naval Facilities Engineering and Systems Command Marianas, work is for “various locations” in Guam, but industry speculation is that task orders may also relate to the Western Pacific. The companies will compete for task orders of between $1 million and $20 million, the sources said. The “seed”, or first project, is a Federal Emergency Management Agency warehouse at the Guam National Guard property, the sources said. mbj
