According to a release from the U.S. Department of Defense on April 5, CHamoru Standard Rear Adm. (lower half) Michael B. Devore will be assigned as senior military official for Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Palau, and the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command.
Devore is currently serving as chief of staff, Naval Surface Forces/Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, San Diego, Calif. mbj
The United Airlines Island Hopper service for the Federated States of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands, plus Palau and Saipan will now be transitioned from the Boeing 737-800 to an all-MAX 8 operation by early October 2026 at the latest, instead of December, according to its route planning.
