Guam bases support services company contract continues

DZSP 21 LLC was awarded a $115.95 million “cost-plus-award-fee modification to its previously awarded contract for base operations support services,” according to a July 30 release from the U.S. Department of Defense. This award brings the cumulative face value of the contract to $848,892,639, according to the release.

This modification provides for the exercise of Option Five for base operating support services at Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force installations in Guam. The contract runs until July 2026. Work will be performed in Guam and is expected to be completed by July 2026, and Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Marianas made the award.

DZSP 21, an Amentum company, “supports Joint Region Marianas, Naval Hospital, Radio Barrigada, the Naval Computer & Telecommunications, the U.S. Naval Magazine, and Santa Rita Support and Guam National Guard complexes,” according to its entry in the Bank of Guam ASC Trust List of the Top Companies in Micronesia in the May-June issue of Guam Business Magazine.

DZSP ranked No. 3 on the list of companies that accepted an invitation to participate, with gross revenues of $400.5 million and employs 576 staff. DZSP ranked No. 4 in 2024. See Guam Business Magazine/2025 top companies. mbj

Guam and NMI officials advance visa waiver talks with Philippine immigration bureau

A Guam delegation led by Jesse A. Lujan, majority leader of the 38th Guam Legislature and chairman of the Committee on Transportation, Tourism, Customs, Utilities, and Federal & Foreign Affairs, met with Philippine immigration officials to advance efforts to include the Philippines in the Guam-CNMI Visa Waiver Program.
