Government agencies, schools and businesses are hunkering down in Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands as Super Typhoon Mawar heads for the Mariana Islands. Torrential rainfall is likely as Mawar passes, with rainfall amounts of 8 to 15 inches possible and flooding of coastal and low-lying areas expected.
