China Airlines is to offer weekly round-trip flights from April from Taiwan to Palau. At the same time, Palau will offer cash to tourists from Taiwan, in an effort to increase the number of tourist visitors.
Taiwanese visitors on direct flights from Taoyuan International Airport to Palau with Taiwanese passports will receive $250 upon arrival from April 1 to June 24, according to Taiwan media reports.
Palau saw 5,753 visitors in February, up from 4,415 in January. mbj
