Super Typhoon Paka hit Guam on Dec. 16, 1997. It was my first typhoon.  That year was a banner year for tourism with 109,368 visitors to Guam in November – one of Guam’s best November numbers. You can imagine what happened after that.

What impression does your business give when people work through the door? That’s important, isn’t it?

Thank you to the two people who contacted me re potholes in the previous issue of “Plain English.” I believe I said everything there is to say about potholes and am trying to move on.  (But yes, the pothole is still there.) 

All good things come to those who wait, and so finally the Maratita house has a new front door as we head into 2023. I hope it’s a great omen, or maybe positive Feng Shui. The color is an earth brown exterior.
