GPD, GFD investigate bomb threats made at Micronesia Mall and Nikko Hotel Guam; ‘All clear’ given
The Guam Police Department and the Guam Fire Department responded to bomb threats made at the Micronesia Mall and Hotel Nikko Guam in the evening of June 5.
According to a statement by GPD, “threats were made to the Micronesia Mall’s Payless Supermarket and Food Court. Additional bomb threats were made to the Nikko Hotel Guam.”
GPD and GFD units left the scene at the Micronesia Mall at around 9:30 p.m.
The Micronesia Mall posted on its social media that it closed 30 minutes ahead of schedule and that it resumed normal operations at around 10 p.m.
Also at around 10 p.m., units from GFD departed the scene at the Hotel Nikko Guam. Several GPD units, including a K9, remained at the hotel.

Guests were still seen entering and exiting the hotel. Staff with the Hotel Nikko Guam told the Journal that “We’re cooperating with local authorities [at this time],” and could not share any more info regarding the situation.
GPD officially gave the all clear for both locations at around 10:30 p.m.
